"I make paintings that reflect my experience of the landscape around me, whether at home in Oxfordshire or in the other place I love, the island of Tiree in the Inner Hebrides. I find joy in the changing seasons when colours turn across the spectrum, and patterns change in the landscape. My passion is colour and representing the beauty of nature with a brush or camera. Smells and sounds also come into my art, driving a passion for all things natural and deeply meaningful. I hope to create a sense of a place or a particular event, such as the first signs of summer on a country walk, or a windswept Scottish coastline".
